After their engagement shoot, I knew I was going to have a great time at Wale & Deji’s traditional marriage in Lagos. I love when couples respond so well to the directions I give them and it was fun to switch so quickly between fun and serious shots with them!

I had met Wale about a year before as she was on the bridal train for her friend’s wedding which we were hired for as well. When I finally got to talk to Wale, her accent made me feel like a razz boy. She’s really calm and down to earth with a very beautiful smile. Deji is a total gentleman as well, and they compliment each other so well. I have no doubt in my heart that their union is blessed and they’ll have a very blissful marriage.

I must mention that I am friends with Wale’s aunty, we were classmates. This must make me seem very old but I am not actually 🙂

Here are some images from their traditional marriage. I was assisted on this by the ever reliable Joubril Disu

Great stuff!! So fresh and so clean…

Welcome to the month of February, I think I have heard it being referred to as the month of love but surprisingly, not a lot of weddings happen this month apart from the cliche February 14th when it falls on a weekend. This year, the presidential elections going on in Nigeria will not be letting couples seize the opportunity.

So away from the election fever, I decided to share images from a wedding we shot last year. This was actually a family event as the groom is my cousin. I know a lot of people have no idea what goes on in a Nikkai ceremony so i’d let the images do the talking.
